Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin announced during his Concacaf Champions Cup Matchday -1 press conference that goalkeeper Andre Blake will return to the Starting XI against CF Pachuca on Tuesday night.
"Obviously it is great to have the best goalkeeper in our league back behind us now and we look forward to his return here at Subaru Park. Andre will be back 100%."
Blake has missed the past three Union matches after suffering an abductor strain in the opening match against Deportivo Saprissa. In his absence, new signing Oliver Semmle has been between the posts for the Boys in Blue making his club debut in the Union's home opener versus Chicago Fire FC.Â
"I think Oliver did a great job in his absence and we learned a lot about Oliver and gave him a taste of those first team minutes which are important early in the season," Curtin said.
