Philadelphia Union played FC Cincinnati on Saturday night at TQL Stadium, falling 1-0. In the first half, forward Chris Donovan had an early look at goal in the 12th minute after receiving a through ball in the box from midfielder Leon Flach, but the shot was just wide. In the 69th minute, midfielder Luciano Acosta converted a penalty kick to put Cincinnati up 1-0. The Union outshot Cincinnati 10 to eight, but could not find the tying goal. 
 
The Union will travel to Guadalajara, Mexico to play Atlas F.C. at Jalisco Stadium in the second leg of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 12 (10:00 p.m. ET / FS1 / TUDN).
