In the first half, Homegrown midfielder Quinn Sullivan opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a right footed shot from the center of the box. Dallas responded in the 36th minute with a goal by Alan Velasco to even the match. The Union outshot Dallas 19 to seven, but could not find the back of the net.
