Chester, PA (October 23, 2021) – The Philadelphia Union beat Nashville SC for a 1-0 victory Saturday evening. With the shutout win in front of the home fans, the Union successfully took second place in the Eastern Conference away from Nashville. Kacper Przybylko gave the Union the lead in the 17th minute. A handball in the Nashville box gave Philadelphia a penalty kick, one that Przybylko would bury past the keeper. The goal was Przybylko’s team leading 11th of the regular season. Philadelphia dominated the ball in the first half, maintaining the majority of the possession through 45 minutes. Despite the possession advantage Philadelphia were unable to extend their lead to two before halftime. Goalkeeper Andre Blake only had to make one save in the clean sheet victory. The clean sheet was Blake’s 11th of the season, a career high and tying him for second most in the league.

The Union are on the road Wednesday evening where they will travel to BMO Field to take on Toronto. (7:30 p.m. ET / PHL17).
