Box Score | Philadelphia Union 2, Inter Miami CF 1

Philadelphia Union defeated Inter Miami CF 2-1 on Wednesday night at DRV PNK Stadium. With the win, the Union remain in first place in the Eastern Conference with 36 points. In the first half, Union forward Mikael Uhre drew a foul in the penalty area in the 24th minute to set up a successful penalty kick by midfielder Daniel Gazdag. Goalkeeper Andre Blake then recorded a key save in the 42nd minute to help maintain a 1-0 Union lead entering halftime. Forward Cory Burke doubled the Union lead in the 66th minute on a header from the center of the box, assisted by Kai Wagner with a cross following a set piece situation. In the 82nd minute, Miami forward Gonzalo Higuain scored on a strike from outside the box to the top left corner of the net to cut the Union lead in half. Andre Blake registered two saves to earn his 600th career regular season save and help the Union secure three points.

The Union return home to Subaru Park to face the New England Revolution on Saturday, July 16th (7:30 p.m. ET / PHL17).
