Jack Elliott returned to the pitch for Philadelphia Union on Saturday against D.C. United after missing the club's last match versus FC Dallas due to an injury.
When the Union faced off against Orlando City SC on April 13, Elliott was taken out of the game in the 51st minute after suffering from sharp pain. After a speedy recovery, the defender was ready to jump back into action against DCU.
Despite receiving a yellow in the 66th minute of play in Saturday's rivalry matchup, Elliott recorded two shots, two clearances and 84.5 percent passing accuracy in his 58 passes on the night.
"It felt good to be back with the team, especially with a win at home," Elliott said. "I'm looking forward to Toronto this week and hopefully we can bring home a win."
Elliott and the rest of the Union will travel north of the border on Friday to take on Toronto FC at BMO Field, with kick off set for 8 p.m. ET on PHL17.
