Authentic, creative, passionate and competitive are just a few of the words you see on your way into the stadium. They are more than just banners that adorn PPL Park, they are what they Union stand for as a team and how we view our fans. Even though we are only a week into our “Fan Appreciation Month,” we have heard countless stories of members in our community going above and beyond for other Union fans.
Whether it be playing soccer with someone – even if you don’t speak the same language or letting someone score a goal on you who is 10 years younger than you are, it’s those qualities we seek in our ultimate supporter. Fans who have inspired others to participate in the playground build, Coats for Chester and the blood drive this year. Union fans are truly defined by their own actions and words.
A Fans’ Fan is someone who not only the team, but the community believes embodies what this organization stands for, and what it truly means to be a Union Fan.
The Fans’ Fan is a contest that arrived fuled by the idea that the fans know them better than we can define them, so let them pick who represents them best. The Union will be collecting entries from individuals, friends, and family members and loved ones until Oct. 17. The top 11 entries will be voted on, by you the fans. From there, 11 finalists will receive a Union merchandise package and a grand prize winner will receive a 2013 Union preseason fan package to Orlando-Deltona, which includes airfare, hotel accommodation and various VIP fan experiences.
Grand prize winner to be announced at the final game of the season, Oct. 27.
