Philadelphia Union extended its preseason unbeaten streak to five with a 3-1 victory over FC Cincinnati. The contest which was 120 minutes to allow for 60 minutes for every play saw the Boys in Blue jump out to an early lead with a golazo from Joaquin Torres. Torres scored his first DOOP in Union style, intercepting a poor clearance and then dribbling to his left to set up a left-footed curler from the top of the box.
The Union doubled its lead the 49th minute with Julian Carranza scoring his second goal of the preseason after smashing home a cross from right back Olivier Mbaizo.
The two sides exchanged goals from the penalty spot with FC Cincinnati converting in the 56th minute to make it 2-1 but Daniel Gazdag regained the two-goal lead with a 60th minute finish from the PK spot.
