For the third time in 2021, Philadelphia Union defender Jack Elliott has been named to Major League Soccer's Team of the Week.
Elliott and club took down rival D.C. United on Saturday night with the center back completing 83% of his passes and winning 90% of his duels. Elliott had a team-high two blocks in the 2-1 win that propelled the Union into second place in the Eastern Conference.
Elliott previously was named to the MLS Team of the Week on May 31st and again on June 24th. Overall the Union have had eight selections the league's weekly honors that are voted upon by the MLSSoccer.com editorial staff.
Philadelphia Union returns to action on Thursday night with a Eastern Conference showdown on ESPN against Orlando City SC. Kick off from the Sunshine State is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
