Player to Watch: Tim Howard
It’s no shock that the face of American goalkeeping within the past decade is the must-watch player for Colorado Rapids. Since his arrival in the middle of 2016, Tim Howard has been phenomenal between the posts. In 2016, Howard had a big year after a 13-year absence in MLS. The goalkeeper was named to MLS Team of the Week three times, nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year, as well as saving two penalty kicks in a PK shootout in the Western Conference Semifinals where here carried the Rapids over LA Galaxy. In 2017, we saw the North Brunswick, New Jersey native record five clean sheets. The Union will look to get past Howard and the Colorado backline on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
