- Spent the entirety of his career in French Ligue 1, France’s top league. Was a constant presence in the midfield, and brought that type reliability to the Union.
- Nogueira is tied for the lead in starts and appearances this season, and he has scored twice while registering three assists. Nogueira also leads the team in shots, always looking to score.
- He is everything a team could want in a midfielder. He is a tireless worker who uses his durability to his advantage. Passing and moving are fundamentals of the game that any successful midfielder must master and Nogueira can expertly do both. He also has a tendency for flair.
Star Moment this Year: One of the best strikes of this MLS season came from Nogueira in the 36th minute in a game against the Revolution on May 17. He collected a bouncing pass from Danny Cruz and sent a rocket into the top right corner. It was a truly world-class strike that epitomized what Nogueira is capable of on the field.
