Philadelphia Union team captain Alejandro Bedoya continues to impose his will on the pitch, contributing a pair of assists in last night's 4-2 victory over Toronto FC.
The midfielder turned a missed shot into a pass in the pouring rain, seeing a cross from Julian Carranza redirected via the captain straight to Uhre for the second goal of the night. Just before halftime, Bedoya saw the chance for a counter attack and got the ball to Daniel Gazdag in the 43rd minute who threaded a pass through the Canadian defense to send Uhre in on goal.
The two assists push Bedoya's total to 29 in league matches during regular season play, trying the 35-year-old with former teammate Haris Medunjanin for third in club history. Union ring of honoree Sebastien Le Toux owns the top spot with 50 assists while Kai Wagner occupies the runner up spot with 32 thus far.
