Nathan Harriel and Jack McGlynn named to United States Olympic Roster

Philadelphia Union in collaboration with U.S. Soccer announced today that Jack McGlynn and Nathan Harriel have been named to the U.S. Men's Olympic Soccer Team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

McGlynn and Harriel become the first members of Philadelphia Union to be selected for the Olympics in club history and will represent not only the City of Brotherly Love but the Stars and Stripes in Paris.

Earlier this year, both players earned senior National Team call-ups, with McGlynn making his debut in an international friendly against Slovenia on January 20, 2024. So far this season in MLS player, McGlynn has made 20 appearances with 17 starts for the Boys in Blue in which he's scored three goals and added five assists. Harriel has made 20 appearances in league play as well, starting 19 matches across the backline and has contributed three assists too.

The U.S. men will take the field for their first Olympic tournament appearance since 2008. The journey for the Union duo begins July 24 against host France at the iconic Stade Stade de Marseille in Marseille. Group A play will continue three days later in Marseille against New Zealand and then conclude on July 30 against Guinea in Saint-Étienne. The top two finishers in the four-team group will advance to the Aug. 2 quarterfinals.
