Numbers game: Some of the numbers that emerged from Sunday's win against San Jose

Le Toux vs. San Jose

The most important number of the night was four.
That’s the number of goals the Union scored to defeat San Jose Sunday night at PPL Park as it continues to close the gap on a feverish push to the playoffs.
But there are some other key numbers to note that might otherwise get lost in the shuffle.
16: The number of goals scored by the Union in MLS play (nine MLS matches) since interim manager Jim Curtin took the reins of the club in June.
2: The number of cards Sebastien Le Toux has accumulated in his entire MLS career. Le Toux picked up his second yellow card ever in the 67th minute of Sunday’s match. He picked up one earlier this season as well.
8: Number of wins in all competitions for Jim Curtin. In fact Curtin has compiled an 8-2-4 record in all competitions, with four wins equally coming in league and nonleague matches.
7: Number of goals Le Toux has scored in the last nine MLS matches for the Union. Le Toux leads the club with 11.

10: It came in a loss, but San Jose and U.S. national team forward Chris Wondolowski has scored 10 goals or more in five MLS season. According to Sports Illustrated writer Avi Creditor, only former Union forward Carlos Ruiz shares the same honor.

1: The first ever Union camp out night for fans was in full effect following the match. Fans stayed to sleep on the pitch at PPL Park and participate in an early morning training session with Union strength and conditioning coach Kevin Miller.
