Philadelphia Union defender Olivier Mbaizo has been named to Major League Soccer's Team of the Week.
Mbaizo set up the Union's game-tying goal in the 85th minute at rival New York Red Bulls, picking out Sergio Santos with a perfectly placed cross to make it 1-1 with the club down to 10 men. The 23-year-old led the team with three key passes on the night and won 73% of his duels in addition to three interceptions.
The honor is the Cameroonian's first league honor of his career and brings the Union's 2021 Team of the Week honors tally to seven.
