In honor of Hunger Action Month in September, Philadelphia Union and Bimbo Bakeries USA worked together to build and deliver peanut and butter jelly sandwiches to CityTeam Chester.
Members of the Philadelphia Union front office and volunteers made 1800 sandwiches that were then later delivered to the local shelter. Volunteers were treated to an open training and a surprise appearance from homegrown, Quinn Sullivan before taking part in the volunteer opportunity.Â
The PB&J Day was part of the Philadelphia Union U-Serve program, where fans can earn Union rewards every time they help serve the community at volunteer events. For more information on U-Serve please click here.
