Philadelphia Union and Musselmans today announced a new multiyear partnership renewal as the club’s Official Applesauce. Musselmans and the Union first entered into an agreement in 2014, and the company, that originated in Biglerville, Pa. and now operates under the Knouse Foods Cooperative, is one of the Union’s longest-tenured partners.
“Musselmans has been an incredible partner to the Union for the last ten years,” said Charlie Slonaker, Chief Revenue Officer, Philadelphia Union. “We’re thrilled to be able to continue this partnership and our work together to highlight our fans and aspiring youth players.”
“We’re pleased to continue our strong partnership with the Philadelphia Union,” said Rich DiFrischia, CEO of Knouse Foods. “We’re especially honored this season to support 10 local charitable organizations by providing donations of our delicious Musselman’s fruit products; truly bringing them from our family farms to communities in the Philadelphia area.”
To mark the 10-year anniversary and renewal, Musselmans committed to donating 10,000 cups of applesauce to 10 organizations, each receiving 1,000 cups. The cups went to various organizations including schools, food banks, and non-profits. To celebrate their decade-long partnership and community efforts, Musselmans will be honored on field at the Union’s May 11 match against Orlando City SC.
Musselmans’ digital assets include up to four sweepstakes and will be the presenting sponsor of Union Youth Affiliate Player of the Month series. On home match days, Musselmans will have branding and logo placement that is featured on vertical concourse signs, upper and field level LEDs, and signage on the soccer net located on Subaru Plaza. Additionally, they will be the presenting sponsor of six halftime mini matches throughout each season and will distribute prepackaged applesauce on egress after select matches each season.
