Philadelphia Union in conjunction with adidas and Major League Soccer announced on Wednesday morning the 2024 pre-match Pride jerseys that are now available for purchase on MLSStore.com.
A bold collab with Pabllo Vittar, the jerseys unite adidas’ classic silhouette with Vittar’s signature style in a color palette that expands beyond the confines of a rainbow flag to signal a new era in Pride-wear. Front and center is the rallying cry LOVE UNITES, celebrating individuality and encouraging allyship. Let’s inspire people to create spaces where everyone feels heard, respected, and embraced for who they are—both in sport and beyond.
As part of the Union's announcement, the club worked with three local LGBTQ+ owned and mission driven small businesses to celebrate the new 2024 kit.
The Union worked with Philly AIDS Thrift @ Giovanni's Room which is recognized by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commision for its historical significance. Founded in 1973, the bookstore served as a refuge and cultural center at the onset of the modern LGBT civil-rights movement. The store provided resources to those working to gain legal rights for those in the community and is the oldest LGBTQ & Feminist Bookstore in America.
Darnel's Cakes is located at 444 North Third Street in Philadelphia and is a mission-driven bake shop and cafe that raises awarness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The business supports local and national organizations that are at the forefront of fighting the virus, disease and stigmas.
The Igloo located at 2223 Grays Ferry Ave is a LGBTQ owned and family operated ice cream shop in Philadelphia. Founded in the City of Brotherly Love in 2012, the business provides a safe space in the community that it serves.
