The Philadelphia Union Foundation’s (PUF) 5th Annual DOOP Cup took place again at the Union League Liberty Hill, where philanthropic individuals and companies came together to help raise funds to assist the growth and improvement of PUF’s signature programs, iAM Project, HeadFirst, Safe Spaces and Chester. Soccer. All our initiatives help underserved and underprivileged children in Chester, Philadelphia, and the Delaware Valley.
The event saw 144 golfers compete on a beautiful summer day in August. Once again, the signature Snake Pit hole was a party-like atmosphere full of vibrant energy from the Philadelphia Union’s front office staff. This year’s Snake Pit was sponsored by the Wallach Family Fund who stated it perfectly when he said, “it’s the best hole in golf.”
The generosity of all the sponsors made for a wonderful day to the benefit of the communities the Union Foundation looks to serve. We would like to thank them for their continued support. In addition to our event sponsor Cozen O’Connor, we are grateful for Subaru and Bimbo Bakeries USA for sponsoring our Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
Our other hole sponsors were Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Arel Capital, Churchill Huston Law, OSPORTS/BPBG, CBIZ Private Equity Advisory, The Graham Company, OVG360, Hoffman’s, Burns & Co, Primepoint, BodyArmor, JKJ, IBX, Westover Companies One, Coca-Cola, PHL17, Lincoln Financial Group, Language Services Associates, WSFS, Westover Companies, BBH, and NewSpring.
The fun-filled day of golfing also included special guest appearances, a raffle, an online silent auction with luxury prizes, and dinner reception where the 2023 DOOP Cup champions were awarded the DOOP Cup trophy.
The great teams of the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Sixers all donated wonderful experience packages to our silent auction. We also offered a generous auction item from Adidas and Dormie Network. We are thankful for all our silent auction donators.
Our golfers enjoyed high-quality product donations from BodyArmor, Coors, Coca Cola, Human Robot, and Boston Beers.
This year’s event was our highest grossing DOOP Cup!
