U.S. Soccer announced on Wednesday the potential pairings and match times for the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal round. Should Philadelphia Union defeat D.C. United on June 12 in the Open Cup fourth round, the club will host the winner of the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls on June 26 at 7:30 p.m. at PPL Park. Ticket information will be released at a later date.
The eight winners from the fourth round, scheduled for June 12, advance to the quarterfinals and move one step closer to claiming the championship, the $250,000 prize money and berth into the 2014 CONCACAF Champions League tournament.
The Union defeated the Ocean City Nor’easters, 2-1, in the Open Cup Third Round on May 28 at PPL Park behind goals from Jack McInerney and Brian Carroll.
