Youth Take the Field: Player Pathway Program Spotlighted at Subaru Park
On April 5th, Subaru Park was buzzing with excitement as the Philadelphia Union hosted Orlando City SC. Among the highlights of the evening was a special appearance by participants in the Philadelphia Union Youth’s Player Pathway Program (PPP), who were honored with a memorable matchday experience.

The day began with an exclusive stadium tour, giving the young athletes a behind-the-scenes look at where the Union train, prepare and competes. From the player tunnel to the executive suites, the tour offered an inspiring glimpse into the professional side of the sport.

Before kickoff, the group took to the field, walking along the sidelines and soaking in the atmosphere under the lights. During the national anthem, they proudly held banners on the pitch, standing in front of thousands of fans in a moment they won’t soon forget.

The Player Pathway Program , sponsored by Kinetic PT, is designed to develop young talent and connect them with the larger Union community. Experiences like this help bring the game to life, offering players not just training and mentorship, but unforgettable opportunities that fuel their passion for the sport.
As the Union battled it out on the field, it was clear that the future of Philadelphia soccer was already shining bright on the sidelines.
