The United States kicked off it's run for yet another Concacaf Gold Cup Title with a 4-0 victory against Guyana at Allianz Field in Minneapolis.
After losing both of their friendlies in the run-up to the tournament, the Stars and Stripes jumped ahead with a goal from Paul Arriola in the 28th minute. Two goals in a matter minutes gave the U.S. breathing room as Tyler Boyd and Gyasi Zardes added to the scoreline. Boyd's goal was his first as a member of the United States but more importantly, it was the U.S's 1000th all-time goal.
