When can Union fans see Wooten in action?

AW3

Excitement is growing for the Eastern Conference leading Philadelphia Union with the announcement that Andrew Wooten has joined the club.

The German American forward impressed with a strong campaign last season with Germany’s SV Sandhausen and now has left many Union fans eager to see our new signing's skills in action.

Union fans will have to wait just a few more weeks as Wooten can't be added to the active roster until he receives receipt of his International Transfer Certificate which should happen when the July 9 Secondary Transfer Window opens.

Once added to the roster, the 29-year-old could be involved in the Union's match four days later at Real Salt Lake for a late night showdown at 10 p.m. ET.

Jim Curtin and the Boys in Blue return to Talen Energy Stadium the following week against Chicago Fire, which may give supporters the first opportunity to see Wooten play for the Union in front of his home fans.
