It's Andre Blake with both nominations for the monthly accolade with big stops against rival D.C. United and the Chicago Fire. The first at home against the Fire in a revenge game after the Union fell on the road to Chicago. With the offense knocking on the door the Union defense was tested in the 13th minute with Chris Mueller getting a pair of opportunities in the box. The Fire's winger ripped a shot after a flicked pass only to see the brick wall of Andre Blake make the diving stop.
After one of their biggest rivals, D.C. United, they sought to get some momentum early but were denied by the Union’s three-time MLS All-Star in Andre Blake. Again it was Morrison finding space after he ran in behind via a Miguel Berry pass. With a possible lead on the cards, the right-footed attempt was turned aside by the brick wall Blake.
