It's Andre Blake with both nominations for the monthly accolade with big stops against rival D.C. United and on the road against the Columbus Crew. The first came in a pressure situation on the road after the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Daniel Gazdag and Sean Zawadzki were tangled in the box on a corner kick. Crew midfielder Pedro Santos stepped up but, like many before him, was denied by Blake with an impressive diving save to the right.
The other Blake nomination came in primetime on ESPN with the Boys in Blue already thrashing their I-95 rivals. Blake was hungry for another clean sheet and came up huge in the 49th minute to make save with his body and head on Ola Kamara.
