Another month full of goals presented countless options but we've narrowed it down to two for the Union faithful to decide who'll be named the Primepoint Assist of Month. Voting for August's honor is now live and will last for just 24 hours.
The first prime assist came against the Chicago Fire with Mikael Uhre and Julian Carranza combining to set up a goal for Daniel Gazdag. Uhre sparked the counter in the 16th minute with a perfectly played through ball to Carranza who raced into the open field and drift to his left to pull the Fire defense away from the center of the box. With space and a teammate to his right, the Argentinian made the unselfish play and cut it to Gazdag in stride. The Hungarian showed composure on the ball to pull it back and send a defender flying before flicking a perfectly placed shot through the defense and Subaru Park into a frenzy.
Looking to take the crown is Cory Burke who too combined with Gazdag to bag a key Union goal that saw the midfielder complete the hat trick. Burke turned playmaker racing into the space and putting the Colorado defense into an unwinnable situation, do you go with Burke or Gazdag. The Jamaican read the situation perfectly, playing a through ball to Gazdag who chipped the keeper for a piece of Union history with his hat trick.
