Philadelphia Union Academy's U-16 squad put their group stage opening loss in the rear view mirror on Sunday morning, grabbing a 2-0 victory over Tampa Bay United at the 2025 Generation adidas Cup.
The Baby Snakes struck for goals in both halves with John Ruf getting the game started off on a strong foot with a smooth finish inside the post on a counter attack. Chuka Ebo added the insurance goal in the second half to give the group three points heading into the Group finale.
The U-16s look to secure their place into the knockout round as they take on Club America on Monday morning at 10AM ET.
