- Homegrown goalkeeper Andrew Rick makes his first start with Philadelphia Union. With the start, Rick becomes the first YSC Academy graduate to start for the Union and is the second homegrown in club history start a match in goal joining Matt Freese. With his debut at 18 years, 4 months and 23 days, Rick is the 12th youngest player to start a match for the Union.
- David Vazquez makes the matchday roster for the second time in his MLS career. The 18-year-old Union Academy product will be available for the club’s match tonight against Charlotte FC Cincinnati signing short-term agreement. Vazquez, who signed with Union II earlier this year before signing a first team contract in April, is an off-roster Homegrown player.
