Philadelphia Union Loan Brandan Craig To El Paso Locomotive FC
Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has loaned Homegrown defender Brandan Craig to USL side, El Paso Locomotive FC, through 2024.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2023 (Philadelphia): Loaned out to Austin FC on July 5, 2023.
2022 (Philadelphia): In 2022, Craig made one appearance at Center Back in league play...Made his MLS debut against DC United (7/8).
2021 (Philadelphia): Signed a pre-contract with Philadelphia Union on November 12, 2020, that became effective on January 1, 2021.
2020 (Philadelphia II): Craig made 14 appearances (11 starts) for Philadelphia Union II as an amateur, scoring one goal...Craig made his team debut with Union II on July 23, 2020 against New York Red Bulls II...Craig became the youngest captain in Union II history when he wore the band in a match against Atlanta United 2 on September 2...Scored his first USL Championship goal against rival Loudoun United (Sep. 17)...On November 12, Craig signed a Homegrown pre-contract with Philadelphia Union that would take effect on January 1, 2021.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Craig has earned 15 caps for the U20 USMNT, scoring one goal and adding three assists to his tally.
In 2023, Craig earned two caps for the U23 USMNT, making his debut on Oct. 12, 2023 against Mexico U23…Appeared against Japan (10/18/23).
YOUTH EXPERIENCE
Craig spent four years for the Philadelphia Union Academy and played with the Academy’s U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16/17 and U-18/19 squads. Over the course of his time with the Academy, he made 85 appearances, 66 starts and scored 14 goals.
