Homegrown2014: Made one League appearance, subbing in against Sporting Kansas City on Oct. 18 in a 2-1 victory. He helped lead Harrisburg City Islanders to the USL Pro Championship final while on loan.
2013: Did not appear in any league matches, but played with the club's developmental affiliate in the Harrisburg City Islanders.
2012: Made his MLS debut on October 24, 2012 replacing Danny Cruz against Sporting KC logging 17 minutes. He was loaned out to the Harrisburg City Islanders and appeared in seven games. He spent 10 days with Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim 1899, where he practiced with their U-19 team and reserve squad.
2011: Signed with Philadelphia Union on December 12 as the Union’s second ever Homegrown Player signing.
College: In his only season with the Colgate Raiders McLaughlin was the only freshman to play and start in all 22 games…Tallied a total of five points off of one goal and three assists… His only goal came in the team’s home opener vs. Syracuse in a 1-0 win… Awarded the BRINE PL Rookie of the Week award twice on October 17 and November 7… Named the 2011 Patriot League Rookie of the Year.
