Glesnes' goal was stuck in the minds for Union fans for months as his free kick rocket came on the road against LAFC on national television just before MLS shutdown. The goal was Glesnes' formal introduction to the Union fanbase and will be one that fans remember for years but will it win the annual honor?
On the other hand homegrown Mark McKenzie's blast not only was his first MLS goal but it helped the Boys in Blue grab a point at rival D.C. United. With the Union pushing hard for a goal, McKenzie came up the pitch as a pass came of the 18-yard-box and the 21-year-old unloaded on the ball.
