Philadelphia Union II faced off against Columbus Crew 2 at Subaru Park on Sunday evening, winning 3-2. Columbus opened the scoring in the 19th minute when a Columbus shot ricocheted around the box and found itself in the back of the net. Minutes later, Abdi Mohamed doubled the Crew 2 lead from the penalty spot. Midfielder CJ Olney and forward Jeremy Rafanello offered the spark that would provide the first half comeback for Union II. In the 33rd minute, midfielder CJ Olney was taken down in the box, sending forward Jeremy Rafanello to the spot to cut the deficit to 2-1. Just two minutes later, the duo linked up again and Rafanello scored his second goal of the match to level the score at 2-2 heading into half time. Forward Jeremy Rafanello completed his hat trick in the 81st minute, scoring a long range goal from outside the box to claim all three points for Union II and finish off the Union II comeback victory.
