For the second consecutive month, Philadelphia Union Academy forward Eddy Davis III has been selected as the MLS NEXT Pro Rising Star of the Month!
On Wednesday afternoon, the league announced the accolade for the 17-year-old forward who's been a standout attacking threat for Union II throughout the team's opening stretch. In his second pro season, he's totaled four goals through six starts and seven games played.
Two of those goals came in the month of April, one of which was scored against an unbeaten New York Red Bulls team to send Union II to penalty kicks on April 21st.
He's the second player in club history to earn MLS Next Pro Rising Star of the Month honors twice in a season, and also the second player to do it in back to back months.
