CHESTER, Pa. (May 31, 2019) – Bethlehem Steel FC announced today that Jamoi Topey has received an international call-up from Jamaica ahead of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. Topey is set to join Jamaica’s camp ahead of the tournament.

Topey heads to Washington, D.C. for a friendly against the United States (June 5) before going to Jamaica for the Reggae Boyz’ pre-tournament preparation camp, which runs from June 6-15. Should Topey then be named to the final roster for the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup, Jamaica begins its run in the Group Stage on June 17 against Honduras in Kingston before traveling to Houston to face El Salvador (June 21) and Los Angeles to take on Curacao (June 25). Topey joins Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake in receiving a call-up from the island nation.

The defender earned his first senior-national team call-up earlier this year when he joined Jamaica for the nation’s Concacaf Nations League qualification match against El Salvador and international friendly against Costa Rica in March of this year. Topey earned his first cap for the senior squad in the match against Costa Rica (March 26), coming on as a second-half substitute.
