With the USL Championship season coming to a close this weekend, the development of Union II midfielder Jack McGlynn was on full display as he earned his second USL Team of the Week honors for 2020.

The future Union homegrown began the week with a crucial finish on the road against Hartford Athletic. Facing off against his brother once more, McGlynn was clinical in his finishing skills to take a right-footed shot from inside the 18-yard-box to give Union II an important road point.

Three days later the 17-year-old rallied the club to a strong performance despite a loss to the rival Red Bulls. McGlynn commanded the midfield alongside fellow Union homegrown Cole Turner and was called upon to convert from the penalty spot in the first half. McGlynn's most impressive goal of his rookie campaign came in the 69th minute of action, collecting a back heeled pass from Caden Stafford and firing a missile inside the post from distance.

McGlynn now accounts for both 2020 mentions for the USL Championship Team of the Week and becomes the seventh player in club history to receive multiple mentions in his Union II career. McGlynn joins Derrick Jones (2), Santi Moar (4), Chris Nanco (2), Jake McGuire (2), Tomas Romero (2) and Zach Zandi (2).
