Philadelphia Union II continues a busy September of USL Championship action with a road trip north to face off against rival New York Red Bulls II. Kick off from the MSU Soccer Park is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Below are the starting lineup and notes.
STARTING XI
Matt Freese; Anthony Sorenson, Ben Ofeimu, Brandan Craig, Nathan Harriel; Dante Huckaby, Jack McGlynn, Selmir Miscic, David Rabadan; Jack Jasinski, Paxten Aaronson.
BENCH: Ben Martino; Jamoi Topey, Steve Kingue, Axel Picazo, Sean Bettenhausen, Danny Flores, Patrick Bohui.
NOTES
- Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Matt Freese makes his second USL Championship start in goal for Union II in 2020 and the 10th USL start in his career. Freese last played in the club's season opener back on March 7 against Loudoun United FC and earned a clean sheet.
- Defender Nathan Harriel too returns to the Starting XI at right back. The future Union homegrown makes his fifth start for Union II and the first since July 25th at Hartford Athletic.
- Fellow future Union homegrown Jack McGlynn returns to the starting XI against Red Bulls II. McGlynn had a breakout performance in his last start against the club, scoring his first professional goal and assist in the 3-2 win back on August 5th.
- Union Academy member Jack Jasinski makes his second start of the USL Championship season.
