Philadelphia Union II returns to Subaru Park to face off against an opponent fresh in their minds as they play host to Loudoun United FC on Wednesday, September 16. Kick off from Subaru Park is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with the match broadcast on ESPN+.
The two sides faced off Saturday with Union II leading the way offensively but a USL Championship record performance from Loudoun United FC's goalkeeper was enough to have the two sides split the points for the second time in 2020 with a 1-1 draw. Union Academy forward Patrick Bohui netted his second goal of the year off an assist from future Union homegrown Jack McGlynn to pace the Union II attack. The match saw the young side fire a season high 14 shots on frame to test the keeper but only Bohui's shot made it through. It was a physical affair as well with Loudoun United finishing the contest with just nine players after a pair of red cards were issued.
Wednesday will be round 3 for the two sides battling for fourth place in Group F with their playoff hopes riding on going on winning streaks to end the season. Neither side has been able to claim a victory in 2020 against on another with last Saturday's 1-1 scoreline following up a scoreless draw in the season opener back in March.
