Philadelphia Union Academy's U-18s kicked off their participation in the 2025 Generation adidas Cup on Saturday afternoon, extending their unbeaten streak in the tournament with a 2-1 victory over St. Louis CITY SC.
The Missouri side opened the scoring first but the Baby Snakes battled back with 17-year-old Union II midfielder Kellan LeBlanc netting the equalizer from the penalty spot. In the second half the Union put the game away with Generation adidas Cup Rising XI selection Malik Jakupovic scoring the game winner.
The U-18s continue their Group E play tomorrow afternoon with a showdown against Club Necaxa who defeated Nashville SC by a 1-0 scoreline as well in their opener. Kick off from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is set for 2PM.
