Philadelphia Union Academy’s U15 and U17 teams continued MLS NEXT league play this past weekend hitting the road to play Baltimore Armour. In a big weekend both teams came away victorious on the road to continue their hot start to the spring season.
The U15 side provided yet another strong team performance coming away with the 3-1 victory over Baltimore Armour. Dominic Wilson and Jaden Francis each scored for the second-consecutive match to power the U15 offense. Wilson improved from the previous weekend, notching a brace to cap off the scoring.
The U17’s had a big day down in Baltimore playing hard and showing early to be the better team on the pitch. Dylan Lacey led the Union’s powerful offensive attack to get 5-2 victory on the road. The trio of Marcello Mazzola, Gael Medrano, and Nelson Pierre each slotted one past the opposing keeper to round out the scoring.
The U17s are back on the pitch Tuesday evening with a rescheduled contest against FC Delco. Both teams will then make the trip north to face off against New York City FC on Saturday, April 24th.
