A trio of Independence Blue Cross Achievement Unlocks took place at the opening whistle of the 2025 season as Philadelphia Union battled Orlando City SC.
The match saw the first Union start of center back Olwethu Makhanya who was paired up alongside Jakob Glesnes as the defensive anchors on the road in the Sunshine State.
The 20-year-old from South Africa went the full distance for the Boys in Blue debut, making three clearances, completing 81% of his passes and blocking a shot.
