CHESTER, Pa. (June 30, 2022) – Philadelphia Union, in partnership with Boeing, Liberty USO, and Battleship New Jersey, today announced they will honor Military Appreciation with their annual Battle of the Branches 5v5 mini-soccer tournament on August 11, which will take place on the deck of the Battleship New Jersey. In addition to the tournament, the event will conclude with a party with food, beverages, and live entertainment on the deck of the battleship.
The Union invites all active-duty military, as well as retired, reserve, DOD civilians, and friends and family playing in honor or memory of military members, in the Philadelphia-area to assemble teams and compete in the tournament. There is no cost to register.
The winning team will receive free tickets to the Union’s Military Appreciation Game on Sunday, August 13th against the Chicago Fire, presented by Crozer Health. They will also be recognized in front of fans and the team.
All visitors that purchase a Battleship New Jersey tour during Battle of the Branches are welcome to come out and support members of the military as they compete to come out on top!
