As Jeannine shares her and her family's soccer story, she says, “I played soccer for one year in high school and could have never predicted it would become such an important element of my life as an adult. Every member of my family has a soccer connection, and I enthusiastically support them all.
My husband Todd has been a soccer guy his whole life. He has been head coach of the women's soccer team at Swarthmore College since 2005 and has brought Swarthmore's women's soccer program to the same level of national distinction as the college has attained for its academics.
Our daughter, Amanda (16) plays for Strath Haven High School and 1776 United. Our son, Colton (14) plays for Strath Haven Middle School and Penn Fusion ECNL.
For the past two years, I've served as Executive Director of Chester Upland Youth Soccer, which uses soccer as a channel for mentoring youth, engaging families, and promoting healthy living in under-served communities. Using the U.S. Soccer Foundation's Soccer for Success curriculum, we help children enjoy and embrace active, healthy lifestyles.
