Ahead of the club's return to the pitch against Chicago Fire on Saturday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Alejandro Bedoya
“It looks like [Bedoya] will be okay, just a little bit of soreness. I think he’ll be able to play a role in the game one way or another. We’ll access how everybody is and how they recover and we’ll pick a lineup to go up against Chicago this weekend and try to get three points.
Daniel Gazdag
“He just trained fully today with us so I guess that is breaking news which surprised me. He looked really sharp and jumped into training and was active and scoring goals. You can see his quality on the ball. Still obviously has missed a couple days now and consecutively and had some travel so he’s not at his max fitness wise but I think he’ll contribute on the weekend. We’ll see how his body responds but today was a really good first sign of where that knee is at. He didn’t have any pain but ill be caution to see how it responds today but all signs were positive toward him playing a role on the weekend which is a big help.”
