Ahead of the club's final road match of July at Inter Miami CF on Sunday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad on Friday afternoon.
Jamiro Monteiro
“Miro picked up an ankle injury at the end of the game. Intiailally I thought it was going to be more serious than it is. He woke up this morning and felt really good. I think the combination of a physical game where you put a lot into the game running wise combined with some ankle pain. We made the sub late to go to Paxten and I believe he’ll be ready to go against Miami.
Ilsinho
“Ilsinho just trained on the field and he will be back in some capacity to help us close out the game whether we are winning or losing. That will be great to have him back with the group.”
Anthony Fontana
“Anthony passed his concussion test and now we just have to see how he responds to today’s training session. If he can stay symptom free then there is an outside shot he’ll be available as well on the weekend.”
