Ahead of the club's 2022 regular season opener against Minnesota United FC, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Sergio Santos
“Sergio is in the process of trying to get his green card in Chile. Not ideal timing but that is out of our control. I hope that tomorrow as well but the timing of his appointment isn’t something we control. Sergio is fine in terms physically, he picked up a knock or two in the preseason and he couldn’t play in the Nashville game with those. He trained earlier this week before he got on the plane but hopefully he will be back for this weekend.”
Jack Elliott
“Jack missed the first three games of the preseason but was able to come in against Nashville and do a good job for us. Showed that there was no drop in fitness so he’s ready to go.”
