Ahead of Philadelphia Union's home match against CF Montreal on Saturday night, Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Damion Lowe
“We got through the game fairly healthy, Damion [Lowe] picked up a little knock on his knee. There was some serious fluid in his knee, got it drained and he trained fully today. He feels ok but we are weighing things to be smart and maybe use him as a reserve. That is one thing we are discussing or as a starter from the beginning because we will have some fresh legs out there for sure because it makes sense on the two days rest. That core group of guys will be pushed and we'll need to go to our bench probably earlier than we usually do."
Alejandro Bedoya
“He's working to get back to full fitness. The hope is to get him back as soon as possible but tomorrow will probably be unlikely which hurts us as a team. It was the first time that he has gone outside to the fields so he was on the training fields and not the stadium field. He's working out on the field which is good and hopefully we get him back as soon as possible but probably not for tomorrow."
