Ahead of the club's return to Subaru Park for an Eastern Conference battle against Nashville SC on Saturday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Overall status of the team
“Both [Andre Blake and Sergio Santos] will be ready to go. Andre as you saw in the game [on Wednesday] we were cautious with the goal kicks and didn’t have him directly kick and I think it turned out fine and it preserved the leg a little bit. He is feeling better as time goes by so he’ll be ready to go 100%.
Sergio will be available to contribute but whether that is as a starter or off the bench that is still to be determined. It’s great to get another striker back especially with the speed that Sergio provides.
[Cory Burke] will won’t be available for us unfortunately. Again we have hopefully get him back next week when we have two big games at Toronto and then Cincinnati. He is still working back to full fitness.”
