Ahead of the club's trip home contest against Orlando City SC on Saturday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Jose Martinez
“Jose was the gameday decision with the ribs as we talked about but he’s trained fully this week.”
Alejandro Bedoya
“With [Alejandro Bedoya] there was no injury there it was just fatigue and he had a family issue where it kept him up at night so his sleep was all out of whack last week. I give him a ton of credit for coming in and helping us preserve the win and you can see his quality is at a top level this season.”
Overall Status of the Squad
“We are knock on wood, fully fit and ready to go. I think we trained with 23 field players which was nice because everyone is pushing for minutes and pushing to be in the 20-man roster and obviously the starting lineup. It’s an exciting part of the year and we are playing good soccer but we are always guarding against any letdown and complicacy. Competition helps with that regard and we have a really deep team."
