Ahead of Philadelphia Union's road match against rivals New York Red Bulls on Saturday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad on Thursday afternoon.
Jose Martinez
“[Jose] was inside today and we’ll call it a grade 1.5 to 2 on the hamstring but he’s healing quickly. It’s not one of the situations where he’ll be out for several more weeks or anything like that. He’s working hard to get back with the team as quickly as possible but certainly a player we need on the field and one that we need at his maximum. Right now because of the injury he is not at his max. I don’t want to speculate on two weeks or a week and a half or one week. I talked with him today and he seems pretty optimistic and is doing everything he can treatment wise to get back on the field as quickly as possible.”
