Ahead of the club's second contest in the MLS is Back Tournament against Inter Miami CF, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the injury status of the squad.
Ilsinho, Brenden Aaronson and Alejandro Bedoya
“Everything from the game was strictly cramps so Ilsinho, Brenden [Aaronson] and Alejandro [Bedoya] were all within the same window and cramped up. You’re explaining and teaching as well and the players know the rules and the five subs but you only have three slots to make those subs. For example when Brenden goes down and we know Ale is cramping, you almost have to be proactive and get him off the field because we only had the one slot left. “
Forward position
“The guys that are coming back from injury. Michee [Ngalina] has returned to training. Sergio Santos has been fully in the past two days so he’ll be available for selection [on Tuesday night against Inter Miami CF]. [Andrew] Wooten is a little bit behind them but he’s getting closer and closer to returning to training.”
